Malaysian Brothers Fix Potholes
Updated: Jan 20, 2021
Ikatan Silaturrahim Brotherhood (IKB) a group movement founded by Lando Zawawi (Malaysian comedian) consists of members from all over Malaysia who come together for a common cause: to fix potholes on roads.
In the spirit of gotong-royong, these 'brothers' and 'sisters' unite and volunteer their time and effort for something that falls under the authority of local councils (PBT) or Public Works Department (JKR). They use their own money and source their own materials to fix these life-threatening holes. Their selfless work has shed light on the matter of road safety, after the recent deaths of two motorists in Klang and Petaling Jaya as well as the incident involving a minister while cycling.
