Nestlé Malaysia Pioneers Recycling Programme
Location: Petaling Jaya
Nestlé has recently launched a pioneering green initiative that involves collecting recyclable wastes by the kerbsides of two townships - Ara Damansara and Bandar Sri Damansara - and one public housing (PPR Lembah Subang 1) in Taman Putra Damai.
The programme aims to educate and encourage better recycling habits in these communities, which extends to about 10,000 households. This is part of Nestlé's long-term commitment to shape a waste-free Malaysia, in line with the company's recent move of putting recycling guidelines on their products as a way to facilitate the recycling process for consumers.
The programme is in partnership with Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ), with a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the two parties in August 2020.
